Clinton and Obama are Wimps

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama are afraid to debate in New Hampshire. All the Republican candidates and all the Democrat candidates except for Barak and Hillary have agreed to debates in New Hampshire.

Clinton is the clear front runner in the primaries and does not want to give anybody the chance to challege her and is probably why Hillary is avoiding debating Hillary in New Hampshire.

Obama has caught up to Clinton in the polls in New Hampshire and elsewhere. Who knows exactly why people like Obama but he has caught up in popularity and does not want to remind voters by debaing that they can choose a slick white man like Edwards or someone with kick ass foreign policy experience like Bill Richardson.

But What About The Dead Children?

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

Traditionally, in the Catholic religion aborted fetuses and dead babies who had not been baptized would spend eternity in limbo. Limbo was a middle road compromise because you had to do something with all the dead children who had not been baptized but had not done anything religious enough to get into heaven. Limbo for dead babies was the state of things ever since Thomas Aquinas came up with the idea.

Now this new Pope decides to just up and get rid of limbo. What happened to all the dead babies? Did they get demoted or promoted? There is a Slate Explainer by Michelle Tsai but it does not tell me anything about what has probably happened to the new children.

Rawkus and Perez Hilton

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

For the small group of people that are fans of gossip sites like Gothamist and Perez Hilton and are also fans of that late 1990′s Rawkus Records type hip-hop there is a new Pharoahe Monch song that is highly enjoyable. The Remix of Amy Winehouse’s Rehab with Pharoahe Monch has Pharoahe Monch rapping about all those young female celebrities who have gone through rehab several times.

The track can be heard and downloaded here.

50 Cent Changes Album Title

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

50 Cent has changed the title of his upcoming album. Originally the album was planned to be titled “Before I self Destruct” but 50 Cent will name his new album “Curtis.”

The title Curtis for the new album originates with Cam’ron shouting Curtis during interviews and beef songs aimed at 50 Cent. 50 Cent is exploiting this rap beef for the marketing opportunity it is.

The beef between 50 Cent and Cam’ron has propelled both careers. Cam’ron was able to reassert himself as the leader of the Dipset movement after Jim Jones and Juelz Santana’s recent success. 50 Cent was able to build hype for his new album after recent sales flops from G-Unit recording artists Lloyd Banks and Mobb Deep.
